Polysomnography Scoring Course 07/05/2012

Date: Eleven sessions starting from September 14, 2012 thourgh 23rd November, 2012

Adult and pediatric scoring course 21/03/2012

The Atlanta School of Sleep Medicine will hold two back-to-back scoring classes to help improve scoring accuracy and efficiency.

Designed for both physicians and sleep technologists, Scoring Adult Sleep Studies will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 20-21 and taught by lead technology instructor Terrence Malloy, RPSGT.

A 2-day pediatric scoring course follows on Sunday-Monday, April 22-23 and is taught by Joel Porquez, RPSGT. Participants can take one or both courses.

For Sleep Technologists in training 27/02/2012

A new learning program for sleep technologists has been developed by the Atlanta School of Sleep Medicine. The course has been endorsed by the BRPT. The Online Foundation of Sleep Technology is intended to provide an online learning option for sleep techs pursuing the RPSGT credential through Pathways # 1 and # 4.

The program contains more than 30 presentations that fall into 6 educational categories. The program features 6 months access to content; printable PDFs; self check questions and learning assessments; and 15 expert speakers/educators from the clinical and technical sleep community.

The entire program focuses on the core knowledge a sleep technologist needs to succeed and advance.

BRPT Fires Back as Applications for new RST Certificate Climbs
The BRPT and ABSM have done battle before, and dueling press releases last week opened old wounds. It started with an American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) missive touting the number of RPSGTs applying for new Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) certificates.
